About Authority…
Authority is everywhere, whether real or perceived. One of the first lessons I learned during my time in the Air Force was the correlation of authority and rank. I also learned, however, that although an individual is in a position of authority, that doesn’t necessarily make him/her authoritative.
We’re Just Different
Today I was reminded how different my husband and I are as we walked on the beach with our dogs. He prefers to walk and jam to his iPod, while I prefer to listen to the wind and waves. He likes to sing along to his favorite songs and I like the solitude.
We’ve been accused of being one of those “opposites attract” couples. I don’t think so…we’re just different.
